We are often asked if we will accept book donations. The short answer is yes, but please read on for more information
How it Works

I am often asked if I can take in book donations and generally speaking they are very welcome. Thank you!
The main problem is I have nowhere to store large numbers of books therefore I am arranging a regular book donation day so I can manage it a bit better.
Please bear in mind that I like to source contemporary general interest books in very good/as new condition. If they are titles I feel I can resell, I may be able to offer you some loyalty stamps which equates to credit in the shop.
Also please be mindful that some books cost me time and money to dispose of and are not saleable by me or any of my charity partners so please don't be offended if I refuse some. I will do my best to accept anything you bring.
We can accept a small number of donations outside of these times and during our usual open times but please bear in mind we may not be able to sort through them while you wait or accept large donations.
If you are unable to bring your books to the bookshop and have a large donation to make, please either bring us a sample or email a photo of a sample to lucie@oldschoolbookshop.co.uk
for consideration.
