Sunday Games Club
New members very welcome!
We all know that sleepy Sunday afternoons are a great time to break out the board games for some good old fashioned fun, so we're asking you to join us in the Bookshop for our Old School Games Club!
Our cosy bookshop café environment is a fantastic place to relax, unwind and play a few games with some friendly folk! With a different theme each week, there's sure to be some board games to suit you.
For the wordy folk the first Sunday of each month we have a selection of word-themed games such as Scrabble and the more challenging Poetic Justice!
The second Sunday of each month we have our card-game themed afternoon. Join us for Whist, Canasta or Cribbage (we can help with the rules and the scoring) or a simpler game. As a club pick your own game to play - all you need is people and cards!
If you're more of a traditional board game player then the third Sunday of the month is for you! Pair off for Chess, Draughts, Chinese Checkers or Backgammon or break out the big guns and play Risk, Cluedo, Trivial Pursuit or Monopoly.
Finally the last Sunday of the month we host our adventure games club - this is where we explore some of the vast collection of adventure and fantasy type board games that there are!
